The B Files Holiday Home Reno
Caesarstone

With a preference for raw materials, texture and European design, Brittany was able to introduce hints of European inspiration throughout her design.
Like any renovation, Brittany explains “We had a few setbacks here and there. However, the team of people we put together worked perfectly with one another to overcome any obstacles along the way!”.
For the kitchen, Brittany chose Empira White™ for all of the benchtops and splashbacks. “the combination of the white stone, and the dark vein, paired beautifully against our all-white cabinets”.
Opting for a generous Island style kitchen with plenty of storage Brittany reveals the “kitchen island bench is one of my favourite elements of the home. The Empira White is just stunning.”
While keeping the kitchen design minimal, the dark vein running through the stone gives a real ‘wow’-factor. Pairing the bench with European cabinetry, and herringbone flooring Brittany adds Empira White™ splashbacks to create a seamless flow.
With space for seating the beautiful Empira White Island offers plenty of room for food preparation and entertaining.
The dark herringbone floorboards, the gorgeous Empira White™ Caesarstone kitchen benchtop, large skirting boards and detailed cornices throughout adding the touch of European flavour Brittany desires.
“Caesarstone is the perfect balance between aesthetically beautiful and practical.”

In the bathrooms, Brittany opted for Frosty Carrina™. Its light colour and subtle grey vein offering a subtle nod to the styling of the kitchen, while working in unison with the travertine tiles in the bathrooms.
Asking Brittany why she chose Caesarstone for Matlock House, she explains “I used Caesarstone as my kitchen benchtop in my Melbourne-home renovation over six years ago and have never looked back!”
“When we were deciding what surface we would use for benchtops and splashbacks for this project, there was no doubt in our mind that Caesarstone was for us. The surfaces are so resistant and easy to clean, not to mention the huge choice of patterns and styles”.
“Create your style! Use inspiration and elements from your travels, and piece together a few different styles to create something that speaks to who you are”.
“We did exactly this on this project, and I couldn’t be happier. By taking some inspiration from our European travels, (Parisian herringbone flooring, the travertine tiles in Dubrovnik, an overall coastal luxury vibe from the Amalfi Coast), we were able to create a unique holiday home for our whole family”.
Using styling, Brittany softens the look of the home with lots of linen and indoor plants, as well her collection of timeless coffee table books.
