Staying true to the principles of their 1930s Art Deco theme, The Block’s Jade and Daniel use the inherent design qualities of Caesarstone® Excava™ to bring a contemporary industrial edge to their kitchen design.

The Design

Art Deco is renowned for individually-crafted and bold limited-edition designs, think the Chrysler Building by Willian Van Alen or the Empire State Building by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon. For The Block, Jade and Daniel’s bold, yet elegant kitchen design embodies the art deco era, with its geometric shapes, opulence and elegance.

Arches and curves are prominent features in the couple’s design, from the arch above the pantry doorway to the beautiful curves of the Excava™ kitchen island.

Working with renowned Melbourne-based furniture designer Christian Cole, Jade and Daniel mould their kitchen island into a bespoke but functional work of art with custom decorative panelling, hidden storage, and ample room for seating and meal preparation.

Using a natural and warm colour palette, Jade and Daniel can introduce a beautiful contrast to the rustic warmth of the Excava™ benchtops and splashback featured throughout the kitchen and adjoining pantry.
